GAVDOS Project
In this section, the communication links and the configuration of the data-acquisition units of the "GAVDOS" project are described. An analysis of the data flows is also presented.
The purpose of the communication link is to transfer all data collected by the data-acquisition units at the island of Gavdos to the Operations Control Center ( OCC ) at the University Campus of the Technical University of Crete in Chania, Crete. The design requirement is that each of the data acquisition units must be independently controllable from the Operations Control Center.
This section is organized as follows: the description of the communication link and the data-acquisition stations is presented in sub-section 2, while the data flow is analyzed in sub-section 3.
